Our 2016 candidates

Our 2016 Huddersfield candidates for Kirklees council.

We are fortunate to have, again, excellent candidates for the 2016 local elections on May 5th.  Click on the name to see more about them.

We all need a larger Labour presence on the council.  We know our voters don't always feel motivated to come out on the day.  But you can make a difference.  We don't have a wealthy press, we are not a rich organisation, we only have people, volunteers, who think it's worth making an effort to push for a better Huddersfield and a better world.

Whether you think your local candidate will easily gain the seat or even if you think there's only a slim chance - it doesn't matter.  If we want people to accept that Labour can form the next government, we need to increase the Labour vote in these elections.

Please give an hour or two...  You may well enjoy it!  You'll be very welcome - let us know you want to volunteer here

Almondbury - Ken Lowe

Ashbrow - James Homewood

Dalton - Naheed Mather

Greenhead - Sheikh Ullah

Newsome - Nadeem Iqbal
