Our council candidate, Harpreet lives in the ward and was born & grew up in Fartown.  She attended our local schools, which did her proud.  Harpreet has worked for the NHS and now works for Debbie Abrahams MP, where she is focussing on the difficulties caused by the Tories' Universal Credit.

Harpreet says, " I am honoured to be Labour’s candidate for Ashbrow. I strongly believe in the principles of fairness and social justice, and if elected I will work hard to make a real difference in Ashbrow."

Harpreet, our councillors and branch members are in full support of HOHRI, MPs and the Council in fighting to keep our hospitalWe are also supporting Harpreet in:

    • Campaigning against Tory cuts to Council budgets which are seeing areas like Kirklees hit the worst.

    • Looking at innovative approaches to tackle fly-tipping.

    • Working closely with local agencies and community groups to tackle crime and improve outcomes for young people
