Councillor Amanda Pinnock - elected 2015
The talented and energetic Amanda Pinnock has been elected as our new councillor in Ashbrow.
Born and educated in the ward, Amanda works as a housing solicitor and has a knack as well as a wealth of experience in dealing with people on a one-to-one basis and is an expert on fighting people's causes.
She still lives with her family in the ward so knows all about us, our achievements and our needs. She is skilled in putting forward the best arguments - a talent we need more and more as Government cuts bite unfairly into us.
"All I want to do is help people and our area in general" Amanda said while being welcomed on board the team by our Councillors Ken Smith and Jean Calvert.
Amanda aims to:
- Improve the amount of new housing available for local people without losing all our open spaces
- Protect the NHS and improve health provision in Ashbrow
- Work with Jean and Ken to improve the area
- Work with Labour Councillors to protect and improve life across Huddersfield
